A case of atypical caudate lobe hemangioma …

We report a case of caudate lobe hemangioma with an atypical CT enhancement pattern. In the present case, hemangioma exhibited a very subtle discontinuous peripheral rim enhancement at the post-enhanced arterial phase, and the peripheral enhanced zone had a moderately increased enhancement degree and with widened enhancement thickness during the portal-phase and delayed-phase.
Caudate Lobe Cystic Echinococcosis
Liver is the most common site of involvement however caudate lobe is rarely involved. A 24 year-old female with sole complaint of jaundice was referred to our department to undergo abdominal CT-scan. A well-defined multiseptated cystic structure was noted in caudate lobe.

The Caudate Lobe: The Blind Spot in Radioembolization …

The caudate lobe (CL) is impartial to the functional left and right hemi-liver and has outspoken inter-individual differences in arterial vascularization. Unfortunately, this complexity is not specifically taken into account during radioembolization treatment (RE), potentially resulting in under- or overtreatment of the CL. The objective of this study was to evaluate the CL coverage in RE and

In this case, intravenous contrast-enhanced CT and DIC-CT revealed that all detectable biliary branches of the caudate lobe were confluent with the left hepatic duct system. Based on anatomical information and expected remnant liver volume, the surgeons achieved complete curative resection by left hepatectomy with en bloc caudate lobectomy using a left-sided approach to preserve the right

Imaging of the Inferior Vena Cava with MDCT : …

Axial contrast-enhanced CT image obtained in venous phase shows liver is enlarged and exhibits heterogeneous enhancement with enlarged caudate lobe and peripheral fatty infiltration. Regenerating nodules are seen in right lobe. Hepatic veins are not visualized.

Posterior segment; Caudate lobe; Segment I

The caudate process is a small elevation of the hepatic substance extending obliquely lateralward, from the lower extremity of the caudate lobe to the under surface of the right lobe. It is situated behind the porta, and separates the fossa for the gall-bladder from the …

What is the Caudate Lobe? (with pictures)
 · The caudate lobe is found between the left lobe of the liver and the inferior vena cava. Located opposite the middle of the vertebral column, the caudate lob is bound on the left by a fibrous material known as the ligamentum venosum.

 · In the NAV, the caudate process and papillary process are included in a same lobe, the caudate lobe. But as these two processes differ by a right or left vascularization, they can’t be included in a same lobe in this hepatic segmentation, opposite to the human hepatic segmentation where the caudate lobe is the segment I and include the caudate process and the papillary process.
